The FELC device is a non-surgical treatment which uses the fourth state of matter, Plasma.  This beam of plasma energy works by sublimation, which means that the skin cells change from a solid to a gas without ever passing through a liquid phase. This safe and controlled skin damage creates tightening and retraction of the skin tissues using Plasma energy. A healing response is then triggered which then causes new collagen formation in the skin around the eye being treated.

Plasma is formed through the ionisation of atmospheric gasses to stimulate  instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres.  The technology is reliable, easy to implement and safe for all people of all ages.

The treatment offers a low risk procedure, with minimal side effects, and none of the complications associated with surgical interventions or lasers. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for those who prefer the non-surgical route for skin rejuvenation treatments.

Firstly a topical anaesthetic is applied for about 45 minutes to ensure the skin is numb to provide comfort during the treatment. The cream is then removed and the treatment begins by introducing quick small beams of plasma energy to the skin around the eye in a uniformed series of tiny dots.

Immediately after the treatment a carbon crust will form over the treated area,  this is completely normal. The crusts formed  must  not  be scratched,  rubbed  or  removed, they are part of the healing process and are to be expected.  In some cases patients may experience some mild swelling and mild discomfort to the eye area for the first few days.

The final result will be evident at least 4 weeks after the treatment and will be reviewed at your follow up appointment that is included.
