Small areas of persistent fat regardless of our weight are usually down to genetics and some areas of fat or fatty deposits cannot be shifted by diet and exercise alone. Aqualyx® injections are the simple solution to diminish these types of fat deposits in areas such as:

Aqualyx® liquefies the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system. Dr Masani is one of few UK qualified doctors trained to perform Aqualyx® which has CE approval in Europe making it a safe licensed product.
The body produces desoxycholan-acid; a bile acid which is made in the liver and helps the digestion of fat. Aqualyx contains this bile acid and its fat dissolving properties are utilised in this treatment. As the components of the injections are the same as our bile salts there are no side effects.
Aqualyx works by locking onto the wall of the fat cell and making it unstable, this releases the content of the fatty acid inside. The body then uses up the fatty acid as energy and removes the cell residue in its normal way.
Developed by renowned aesthetic surgeon Professor Motolese, Aqualyx® has been available internationally since 2009, and over 2,000,000 vials have been used for patient treatments in 49 countries worldwide.
Using thin flexible needles, Aqualyx is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue. Aqualyx contains a local anaesthetic making the treatment more comfortable. The treatment may then be followed with Impact Expert™, which is external Ultrasound to enhance the effects of the treatment.
Each area to be treated requires 2 injections, and a series of 2 to 5 treatments will be required at 3 week intervals. Pressure garments may need to be worn to enhance the effects of the treatment for a short period of time.
Results take 2 to 4 months to be fully realised as the fat cells that have been destroyed slowly flush out of the system by the liver and kidneys into the urine, this method means there is no change to the blood cholesterol.
